Medical Spanish

There is few things more frustrating for both medical providers and patients than a language barrier preventing proper care. Time and resources are wasted when you have to wait for and pay translators to assist with even the most basic tasks.

 

Our Medical Spanish program, like all our programs at Surpacifico, takes a hands-on approach to learning. You will spend half the day in the classroom, learning grammar, relevant medical vocabulary, and practicing communicative skills with you teacher. The other half of the day you go to a local hospital, clinic to do observational rounds with other medical students or even work some supervised rotations, or volunteer at a pediatric rehabilitation center where they focus on prevention and alleviation of children’s developmental and neurological disorders. This program creates a great balance between classroom and practical experience, with each reinforcing and enhancing the other. (Minimum of 4 weeks)
